Arrived quickly, and assembled even quicker! Not too much to putting this together; instructions were easy. However, as in another review of a Winsome product, not all the screw holes lined up, and the hutch part of the desk is a little loose on one side due to that. I am happy with this product and am going to purchase the night stands and bookcase next. They look nice, clean and are good for those on a budget.

This desk is perfect. Arrived quickly and very well packaged. Super easy to assemble. Sturdy and nice looking. A sweet little writing desk. Fits perfectly in my small corner nook in guest room/office. Somewhat orange stain goes perfectly with my 1950 style decor. Wish it came with a chair!

Cherry Finish Secretary Writing Desk & Chair

Wouldn't this be a beautiful addition to your home? This elegant Queen Anne style writing desk is a delight with it's curved legs and smooth finish. The lovely cherry stain makes it a perfect addition to pieces you already have. The legs are made of solid wood and the table solid has a veneer. There is a drawer in the middle along with two ornamental handles an each side.

The assembling was fairly easy. I love the deep rich cherry color. The table top was the most beautiful of all the parts, I notice it was covered in a thick layer of coating because it was very smooth.

There were some minor damage to the corner of the desk (I noticed this as I soon opened the package and inspect all the parts) and some holes for the screws was slightly off (a few millimeter away) for the screw-nail to fit (I had to skip the ring (but not the washer) to get it in contact. There are metal shielding in the wood that was prepared so when I assembled the product, there were no wood cracks.

An excellent desk and chair set for the price I paid.

I'm personally very happy with this desk. Everything arrived before the expected delivery date and was relatively easy to assemble. I think the desk is very attractive but I will warn buyers that it does look a tiny bit redder than you see in the picture. To me the color and the shine on the finish just makes the desk stand out more but it remains very elegant. I'll also point out that only one of the three drawers shown in the picture is actually functional (the middle one of course).

If you need something smaller and elegant in a dark black finish, this is a great desk. It shows as it is in the picture and comfortably fits our desk top and large flat screen monitor. You will need more room, though if you have a printer or other accessories with your desk top (though if you have a lap top, it should be fine).

If you're wondering about the color, it is just a shade above black, but darker than how I would describe espresso. It went well with a shelf I had from IKEA that was described as espresso. It is a flat finish (vs. wood grainy like some pieces).

Assembly is incredibly quick and easy. I did it myself in less than 10 minutes. The desk is plenty sturdy. If you like the look and are looking for the color I described, then go for it.

This is a case of you get what you pay for. The preassembled parts of the desk fit loosely and have gaps. The "wood grain" is a thin plastic film over particle board that arrived peeling off, and that shows scratches even from being wiped with a damp cloth. The poor-quality screws stripped out easily. The best thing about the desk was that assembly was easy, and it has nice lines. Unfortunately though, it won't last long and will need to be replaced.
