Wayan Rendah carves the image of a child nestled warmly against his mother bosom in a gesture of innate physical and emotional communion. An embodiment of comforting intimacy, this statuette is carved from hibiscus wood. Rendah works well in relation to the wood's rich grain, its green essence enhancing the serenity exuding from this piece. Hibiscus wood exhibits colors ranging from white to light gray, dark gray or even black heartwood. This natural occurrence can rarely be replicated, making each carving exceptionally unique. Please expect slight differences in wood grain color and distribution patterns. Theme and artistic quality remain the same. “angels Of Zodiac. Leo The Lion”, Elisheva Nesis (eli7)

an artist, a writer, a psychiatrist

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

My main interest is looking for signs of mysteries in our life and studying evidences of their penetrations into the real world. Almost all my paintings and books (edited in Russian and Hebrew) are around this theme. As well I've been trying to detect mysterious penetrations in some «border» individuals. Presence of perceptible sorcery serves me as the principal criterion for selecting paintings to my private collection of «haunted» pieces of art.

So it was just natural to me to settle in Jerusalem, the most mysterious place in the world. This town has a great influence on my paintings.

I studied fine art in Russia (Stavropol Art School) and Israel (Betsalel Academy of Fine Arts). I got M.A. Degree in writing in Moscow Literature Institute and D.M. Degree, as well as postgraduate course in psychiatry in Stavropol Medical Academy. I am a Fellow of Israel Professional Artists Association.

Painting for me is a spiritual practice. The main trends of my work are: consciousness-developing, art therapy and haunted paintings.

You can see my other paintings in the "Artmajeur" gallery

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I know that some properties of certain things are beyond an ordinary comprehension.

I feel the influence of this imperceptible properties of certain things on fates and fortunes.

I am sure that everyone can develop his ability to comprehend over the frame of five usual fillings.

I consider that everyone enjoying his opened mind and sensitivity must to help all the others to develop their comprehension.

I can help people to broaden the consciousness and to overcome certain problems and sufferings.

The series of original paintings «Cats and Angels of Jerusalem» is dedicated to the cooperation of the cats – the most mystic animals on the Earth, with the angels – heavenly creatures, the nearest to us. Everybody can find angel's and cat's halves inside him.

Striking Pair Of Arm Chairs Contemporary French Style

These chairs command your attention and admiration in Hollywood Regency style.  They have an interesting Art Deco influence as seen in the workmanship of the front legs.  Place these beauties where the back can be seen and appreciated with their bold X design which is a talented designer's juxtaposition to the graceful flowing arms.  Note also the X stretcher base.  While they look as though they came straight out of a Miami's South Beach Estate or a Parisian Apartment, history prior to this ownership is unknown, but we are sure that is colorful and rich!

These chairs are solid and heavy, and in very good condition with only a few scuffs and scratches that you would expect.  The fabric shows slight wear and a few light spots, but has no tears, detectable odor or other damage.  The fabric would of course benefit from a slight cleaning or re-upholstery to match your fine interior.  Coordinating pillows as shown are included.

The size of each chair is 28 1/2" wide, 34" deep, 32" high and the seat height is 19".  All of our furniture is for pick up only or arrangements made through your shipper.  In this manner, you may choose the type of service and time frame most suitable for you.  If you do not have a preferred shipper, as a suggestion, check out www.tscmoving.com for fast and very competitive rates; we have used TSC Moving on several occasions, we and our customers are quite happy with their service.  www.shipgreyhound.com is another excellent option to consider.  Also, be sure to see our other offerings by clicking on "see other items", under our name and 100% Positive Feedback.  We have posted some wonderful antiques, mostly French, some rare, and all great finds for you.  Further, TSC Moving extends a significant discount for additional items and services a wide geographical area.  For shipping or pick up considerations, we are located on the West Coast of North Central Florida in zip code 34498 and the chairs are on display on a second story level.  The price is for the pair of chairs; thank you for visiting, and good luck.  Enjoy with much pride and appreciation the striking addition of these French inspired Hollywood Regency chairs to your home!

Please note:  All of our items are also offered in our Designer Showroom.  As such, we reserve the right to cancel this auction in the event that the item is sold locally.  These chairs are now on sale and tagged at $675.00 for the pair.

Stunning Enfilade In Oak, Pristine Buffet Or Sideboard

Bonjour!  This is the most lovely French Enfilade we have ever offered, fully executed in fine French Oak with luxurious and classic carvings.  The backsplash exudes French charm and elegance with an impressive pierced design of sinuous swirls and lattice, crowned by a large shell.  This design theme is carried throughout, supported by the much loved cabriole leg and snail foot, and flanked by panelled sides.  This French beauty will very politely command attention and admiration by all who are lucky enough to be in her presence.  Graceful lines and an enormous size are a delightful juxtaposition that most pleasantly attack your senses!  You will normally find this style and workmanship on a much smaller scale, but this gorgeous Enfilade measures a not so petite size of 97"; that is over eight feet!  Including the plate rack back splash, she stands nearly four feet high at 47", depth is a generous 21" for oversized trays and chafing dishes.  Expect very few flaws, but understand that as beautiful as she is, her labor of love presenting gourmet buffets to appreciative diners over the years has caused a blemish or two; as if it were possible, they only seem to add to her exuberant charm.  Her patina is most glowing and will continue to warm as she gracefully ages.  Behind richly carved and locking (we have the original key) doors is open storage with a shelf, and central dovetailed drawers offer more storage options for your silver flatware, napkins and table cloths.  A word to the wise; this fair Maiden, will take your breath away!

Be sure to see our other offerings of fine antiques and art, most are French, some are rare, and all are wonderful finds for you; click on "see other items" under our name and 100% Positive Feedback.

All of our furniture is for your arranged shipping.  In this manner, you may choose a carrier and a time frame that is most suitable to you.  For these considerations, we are located on the West Coast of North Central Florida in Zip Code 34498.  As previously noted, this Enfilade is very large and heavy, and is located on a second story level.  If you do not have a preferred shipper, we have many happy customers who have used www.tscmoving.com you may also call them at 1.888.219.6054.  Au Revoir!
