ABOUT THE ARTIST:

      

        My main interest is looking for signs of mysteries in our life and studying evidences of their penetrations into the real world. Almost all my paintings and books (edited in Russian and Hebrew) are around this theme. As well I've been trying to detect mysterious penetrations in some «border» individuals. Presence of perceptible sorcery serves me as the principal criterion for selecting paintings to my private collection of «haunted» pieces of art.

      So it was just natural to me to settle in Jerusalem, the most mysterious place in the world. This town has a great influence on my paintings.

      I studied fine art in Russia (Stavropol Art School) and Israel (Betsalel Academy of Fine Arts). I got M.A. Degree in writing in Moscow Literature Institute and D.M. Degree, as well as postgraduate course in psychiatry in Stavropol Medical Academy. I am a Fellow of Israel Professional Artists Association.

      Painting for me is a spiritual practice. The main trends of my work are: consciousness-developing, art therapy and haunted paintings.

I know that some properties of certain things are beyond an ordinary comprehension.

I feel the influence of this imperceptible properties of certain things on fates and fortunes.

I am sure that everyone can develop his ability to comprehend over the frame of five usual senses.

I consider that everyone enjoying his opened mind and sensitivity must to help all the others to develop their comprehension.

I can help people to broaden the consciousness and to overcome certain problems and sufferings.

 

 

 

     The series of original paintings «Cats and Angels of Jerusalem» is dedicated to the cooperation of the cats – the most mystic animals on the Earth, with the angels – heavenly creatures, the nearest to us. Everybody can find angel's and cat's halves inside him.

About the Artist

Miguel is a 4th year Art major at University of Maine Augusta. He is a non-traditional student of Mexican- American descent. A versatile artist, Miguel works in a wide diversity of multi-media that include photography, charcoal, graphite, ink, chalk pastel, oil, metal sculpture, and printmaking. Miguel is past president of the Art & Architecture Society at UMA. In the warmer months he can often be found creating artwork on his front porch in Waterville and was captioned as Waterville’s  “Resident Artist” by the Waterville Morning Sentinel in a front page photograph in 2006.

About the
Artist

My name is Carrie Paquette. I am a Canadian artist.
I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I grew up in a small town called
Alliston, Ontario. I am currently living a beautiful city called Barrie,
Ontario. I have lived here for the past 22 years with my husband, 3 children and
three cats.I graduated with Honours from "Georgian College of Applied Arts
and Technology", DESIGN ART/GRAPHIC DESIGN in... 1989. I was brought up in a
very musical family. My Dad, a professional musician and a music teacher of many
instruments, gave me an appreciation for the arts. My siblings were all very
talented in their musical abilities. There was never a day that went by with out
the sound of drums, guitars or a piano echoing through out my house. It wasn't
long before my parents discovered my artistic talent and enrolled me in some
painting/drawing classes. My mother was determined to see me with all my
artistic potential. Even if it meant driving me every week to my art classes in
an "old clunker" car, up a very steep hill. So I am very thankful for my parents
support then and now.I have shown my artwork at The Barrie City Hall Rotunda
twice. I have sold many miniature artworks over the internet through out Canada,
United States and even Germany. My paintings are said to stir up fond memories
of life and home. I hope to create pleasant visuals for your home to be
cherished and passed down as heirlooms for years to come. I enjoy painting,
animals, landscapes, houses and my newest subject are "Abstracts". Abstracts are
a fun and creative way to work with paint, colour and design. I have painted
many cherished "Pet Portraits" for pet lovers locally and abroad. To own an
original will make a interesting focal point to a room as well as a
converstaional piece.
